my very first book review!

as promised (to myself), a review about the books I read last month. and I was supposed to finish two but I only managed to finish one book becausee........ well, i'll do a review on that book as well and you'll know why. :)

to admit one thing, i don't really know how to actually write a book review but if anyone ever asked me about the books that i read, this is the way that i will tell them, how i feel about the book and how do i enjoy reading them. so i'm so sorry if my version of a book review doesn't fit the format.

nonetheless, let's start with the book that i managed to finish first.

1) Dimana Dia dihatiku by Pahrol Mohd Juoi

i loveeeeeeeeee this book! as expected, ustaz pahrol's writing is awesomeness! every word he wrote just infiltrate right through the soul. best giler! memang sesuai sangat la baca buku ni time iman tengah down gila because it really helps boost your iman. the part that i enjoy most in this book was the part where the author expressed his feelings about letting his daughter go to the hand of marriage, to be putting her under the responsibility of the man that he didn't know quite well but just enough to make him believe that, that man who was going to be his daughter's husband will love her and take a good care of her as much as he did. man, i tell you anyone who have read this will feel his love towards his daughter. i found it's very sweet!!! but i guess, every father would feel the same way as he was whenever their daughters are getting married aren't they? :)

but that's not just about the book. the book may be thin and much cheaper than other books, but the contents was filled with love and advices that you will just take it right to the heart. he talked about mujahadah and istiqamah in doing good deeds and serving Him, about marriage, taking care of the souls and how serene and tranquil our hearts will be when we have a close relationship with Allah SWT and put Him above everything else in this world.

to quote one of his sentences in this book, "mujahadah itu pahit, kerana syurga itu manis" :)

ah! i love this book too much! i'll surely read them over and over again in my other spare times.

moving on to the next book *yawn*

 2) Rasul Mulia, Umat Mulia, Akhlak Mulia by Umar Muhammad Noor.

so this is the book that i didnt finish reading! hihihi.
this book was a compilation of stories about the great scholars during the time of our beloved Rasullullah and any of them who came after that time. any stories in this book were associated with hadith, sunnah and al-quran and they are actually full of humanitarian values.  i wouldn't say that this book is bad. in fact it's really good but the author didn't get my attention and interest to keep going as i found this book boring. >.<  maybe there were a lot of facts in it and the way the author wrote was too formal. tp tak pelik la since the stories that was compiled in the book was originally published for a segment in the "SOLUSI" magazine. however, the good thing about this book is that i can choose any chapter that i want to read first and any chapter that i dont find any interest in the title, i can simply skip it! hence, another reason why i just cannottt finish reading everthing in it...................................... or maybe i was just lazy :P :P

thank you for reading this boring post!!! :P
